The latest Cataclysmscreenshot from Blizzard is shown above. There was some consternation yesterday about a Twilight joke. I apologize for that, and instead offer up today’s image, or a brunette nearby apples. At night, in a neckbaring dress.
If you’ve missed any of the previous Cataclysm screenshots of the day or you want to see a high-res version of today’s image, check out the gallery below.
The WoW.com team is streaming again tonight over on our Justin.tv channel, or you can simply watch via the embed above. Tonight Anne Stickney will be showing us the continuing adventures of Lunchmeat the human hunter accompanied by her trusty wolf Spam, playing through Elwynn Forest, Westfall and beyond!
We have no scheduled end time for this particular stream; Anne will just go as long as she pleases. Pop some popcorn, pull up a chair and enjoy. We’re also in the chat channel over there if you want to drop by and say hello!
Welcome to the Wednesday edition of Spiritual Guidance, hosted by Fox Van Allen, consort to the shadows. Don’t mind any distracting grunting you hear coming from under the floor boards. Dawn Moore isn’t buried alive underneath there, I promise. She just needed to take today off. You know. For … um … I dunno, I think she’s one of the Hollywood Squares this week. Who cares, whatever, she’s gone.
Oh, hello shadow priests. Please come in. Shut the door behind you.
Have a seat. We need to talk.
I’ve been hearing rumors on wowpopular.com about your top major glyph choices, and frankly, I’m concerned. It’s telling me that the Glyph of Shadow Word: Pain is the most popular for shadow priests. Madness! And my god, are you really casting Flash Heal that often that you want to glyph for it?
Look, look, it’s okay. It’s not your fault. You’re the victim here. You chose what you thought was a good glyph, and it’s been letting you down. I can help.
After the break, we’re going to run down the list of the top ten most popular shadow priest glyphs and pick them apart, one by one. Hopefully, in the process, we can get rid of your cookie cutter build and find you a great new set of glyphs that matches your play style.
Having a blast with the Campaign but are annoyed that there’s no option to activate Antialiasing in StarCraft 2? No worries, we’ve got the solution, but only for the happy NVidia video card owners! Sorry, but there’s no such option for Radeon video cards, which is unacceptable by today’s standards for a PC game.
Just like in the Beta, Starcraft 2 has no option to enable Antialiasing, but fortunately NVidia allows us to force it from its Control Panel. How do you do this?
Right-click on your desktop, choose “NVIDIA Control Panel” from the list, select “Manage 3D setting” and then click “Antialiasing – Mode” from the options to the right. Now chose “Override any application setting” from the drop down list and force your favorite Antialiasing level to 2x (up to 16x), in “Antialiasing – Setting”.
This is by far the only way you can activate Antialiasing in StarCraft 2. Now, when you play Starcaft 2, you’ll get smooth edges on vegetation or fences. Have fun!
Cataclysm Guild UI Mini Preview
The Guild UI has been disabled during last night’s maintenance but I guess a few people want to see how it looks for the moment. Not all parts of the UI are available yet, and I’d rather wait for the official launch on beta servers before I start posting because it looks like they’re still changing a lot of things. Hopefuly it will be fixed on beta servers very soon.
Cataclysm – Reforging in Beta
Reforging was added to the official patch notes after last build’s update and people keep asking how it works on beta servers. The answer is simple, it doesn’t. The UI just doesn’t work and it will most likely be included in the next build, the only thing in-game for the moment is the Thaumaturge who will reforge items for you.

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com’s daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.
I won’t lie. I almost forgot to write The Queue today. It’s not my fault. It really isn’t. Blame Jimmy Raynor and his bedamned Hyperion. It’s completely his fault. Actually … on second thought, blame Tychus Findlay. He’s a better scapegoat.
Now to distract you from what could have been a horrible error … Have you all entered our contest for a Blazing Hippogryph yet? You can enter once per day, remember! Head over there, leave a comment to enter and show WoWTCGLoot.com a little love. They’re the guys who make these giveaways possible.
Josh asked:
“Can you give the non-beta testers a feel for the completion of Cataclysm so far? Will they make the 2010 deadline?”
Blizzard has announced that interested parties may now order the Direct TV coverage of BlizzCon. You'll get to see all the panels, exclusive live interviews with game devs, coverage of the tournaments, and a WoW ingame item, plus a chance to buy exclusive Blizzard swag. It's just like being there, minus the lines, cosplay, and mysterious aromas. Oh, and the chance to actually play Diablo 3, but you're probably not real interested in that anyway…

Update: Bashiok added some comments on the Direct TV broadcast in a forum thread.
Blizzard Quote:
Bashiok: I'm really glad they're doing the multiple streams this year. Let people pick and choose what they want to watch. Oh really? That sounds cool. I might actually get it this year then. Thanks for the heads up on that Bash.Bashiok: No problem. I believe the plan is to have a stream that's essentially what's shown if you were to watch the PPV channel on TV, and then streams for the individual stages. So you can plan out your schedule and go from one to the next to catch each thing you want to see. It's pretty awesome. It should be noted that the multiple streams are only if you watch it on your computer, there's still only one DirecTV channel showing BlizzCon.
So, any of you guys interested in this? It's certainly cheaper than attending BlizzCon yourself, especially if you (or a friend) already have a Direct TV subscription. There's always an obscene amount of news and info from Blizzcon; screenshots and interviews and a new gameplay movie, and more. But interviews take time to transcribe or post, Blizzard doesn't allow the media to post video of the panels for some days after the show, our huge info bombs take time to write up, etc.
Which means that, other than being at the show, there's really no better way to get the D3 and other game news more quickly than you will via the Direct TV feed, if speed is your objective. Blog

Following the recent Aion server merges, we wanted to offer a free character transfer service to give everyone a chance to play with friends located on different servers. One of our responsibilities is to provide balanced servers for you to play on. To work towards a more enjoyable play
experience we’ve decided to suspend character transfers in order to re-evaluate our strategy for server balance. Once we’ve finalized our
new strategy, we will again re-enable free server transfers, however with certain limitations to prevent an excessive amount of transfers
that specifically contributed to server imbalance.
Because of our decision to suspend transfers, we will be issuing the first wave of Fight on the Right Side rewards to all active players, regardless of race conflict status.
Race balance is something that we take extremely seriously and we are committed to creating an exciting environment for all of you to enjoy.
We’ve been listening to your suggestions in the forums and are considering all options available to us in order to achieve consistency in race balance across all servers. Please bear with us as we continue our work to address your concerns.
Fly High, Daevas,
-The Aion Community Team
So, no more transfers for the forseeable future. Don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll be back soon.
Fingers crossed we can see some balancing of the servers now. At least they know there is a problem with balance now. Admitting is the first step.

The Cataclysm beta has been offering us many things. From talent trees being changed to revealing new voices for bosses and audio for events, there really has been something new discovered almost every day. This is not too surprising considering the world is going through a massive series of changes as well as the game mechanics themselves.
One of the things that is being watched very carefully are the changes to healing and the mechanics not only of healing output but also mana regeneration. Sadly, though, there is still a lot missing from the client, making it hard to get an idea of exactly how it will all wind up being balanced. That said, there are still a lot of changes in place for healers in the way we quest and level. New talents and spells make it a different experience than before. On top of that, there are also a plethora of quests that seem to be tailored at least somewhat with a healer specifically in mind.
If you really do not want to know anything about Cataclysm until it is released, there will be some Cataclysm spoilers after the break. If you don’t mind having a few things spoiled for you, please continue to read on.
Every Tuesday, Shifting Perspectives explores issues affecting feral/restoration druids and those who group with them. This week, we continue to get hit in the face.
This week, we’re continuing our series on Pulling 101 with a look at what happens during the dungeon itself. I was surprised to discover exactly how much of this advice concerns rage management, but shouldn’t have been; any discussion concerning how to pull as a rage tank invariably touches on how to get the most out of an eccentric resource system. A good chunk of this advice will become obsolete as of the Cataclysm content patch, but if you’re leveling and gearing a bear through the dungeon finder, there are still an awful lot of 5-mans between yourself and this fall.
Each week, WoW.com brings you a fresh look at reader-submitted UIs. Have a screenshot of your UI you want to submit? Send your screenshots, along with info on what mods you’re using, to readerui@wow.com.
Greetings, Reader UI of the Week fans, and welcome aboard the good ship Addons. Today, we travel back in time, way back, to March of 2010, when man still lived in a terrible age of despair and ignorance. We have come so far since that terrible time. A light, a blindingly bright light, shown through the heavens, illuminated one column. One column for you, dear readers, to submit your user interfaces to …
Fizziks was one of my first reader UI column subjects and has graciously sent in a redux of his awesome-then and awesome-now user interface. I am happy to say that this is the 25th Reader UI of the Week that I have written, and am happy to have an old friend come back for this special number.
A list of known Bugs has been posted by Blizzard so if you are experiencing anything on this list then don;‘t worry, they will be addressed. The list is not that long which is quite impressive for a game that has just been released. Read all the notes after the break. Blog
Welcome to Lichborne, your weekly source for news, guides, tips and opinions on the death knight class.
With the latest beta build, death knights have seen yet another series of small adjustments to their talent trees, but the biggest news is the addition of a solution to those hanging frost runes in unholy’s rotation: Festering Strike. What’s really surprisingly unique about Festering Strike though, is the rune setup: It uses one frost and one blood rune, the first attack to do so. In this week’s column, we’ll discuss how Festering Strike is fitting in, as well as looking at other talent tree issues and bugs on beta.
As with any PC game product, StarCraft II has some issues that are known to the development team at Blizzard. The scif-ti RTS sequel has some bugs in it and the game’s official message boards have a list of known issues that are presented on the game’s official message boards. One of the issues is having Blizzard’s auto-updater being shown by anti-virus programs as a trojan. Another issue is seeing black screens “being related to the use of a Quick Cam webcam.” Some of these problems do have listed workarounds. There’s also a current bug list available to read on the forums.
If you have yet to purchase StarCraft II on the fear that your PC might not run the game, Blizzard also has more detail on the game’s PC system requirements beyond the system specs that Blizzard confirmed earlier this month, including more detail on what processors and video cards will and will not work with the game.
