A little while ago Blizzard revealed what European cities would be hosting official midnight launch events on July 27 for the release of StarCraft II. Now the developer has finally revealed the location for the official North American launch event for the game. It will be held at Fry’s Electronics at Fountain Valley, CA on the evening of July 26.
Folks lucky enough to live near that location will be able to meet and greet some of the development team behind the long awaited sci-fi RTS sequel. Look for live StarCraft II matches, live music, giveaways and more at the event. If you can’t show up for the “official” US launch, a number of retailers including GameStop, Best Buy and WalMart plan to open their doors at midnight on July 27 to sell the first copies of the game.
