1. It is extremely simple: Mining and Herbalism

Forget about any other crafting job until you have all the gold you want for that mount. Sell everything to the Auction House.

2. DO NOT BUY STUFF OFF THE AUCTION HOUSE

Levels 1-40 are really not even gear dependant and anything that is a really good upgrade can usually be obtained by doing quest... which also give you gold.

3. Combine Leveling and Farming together.

Until you hit level 60 you have no reason to farm mobs that will give you no experience points.

4. Humanoids give a nice amount of money and items.

Level on those any chance you get.

5. Do quest.

You get money, fame and gear for doing them.


Thats pretty much it. There is no awesome mob that you can kill and get a epic drop from on your first kill. There is no secret exploit you need. You should NEVER need to buy, borrow, steal, exploit, cheat, beg, or whatever for gold in this game. Money comes to easy for you in this game. Just play and have fun.

I would have to disagree with not buying items at the auction house. Sometimes, it is hard to find a specific weapon and/or piece of armor, no matter how many mobs you kill. Also, things at the auction house arent that expensive and there is alot of selection.

There is really nothing that you "NEED" to have from the Auction House from levels 1-40. You can gain the gear you need by doing quest. Only go to the Auction House to sell if you want gold, its that simple.

Well, quests usually only drop certain items that you sometimes cant use. Auction house is very useful.

i have to agree with cmpolis, questing wont always give u everything u need maybe for lvls 1-30 but then i think ur on ur own.

otherwise i totaly agree with u with herbalism and mining those pretty much run hand in hand theyre always right next to each other if theres mines around there sgunna be plants as well, and the both sel very well.

The whole point of making your wallet bigger is to try to use your skills in pickpoketing and herbalism the best way u can. it is not hard to find out how... this guide is valid, because i've followed everything in this guide before with a druid and i had more than enough money by the time i hit 40.

i had about 140g or so the moment i hit 40, because i didn't buy anything, no enchants, no weapons, no gear, etc.

and all i did was quest quest quest, and instances too.

i also did SM alot, if that makes a difference...

Guys i wud say it is ok to get stuff at AH but also keep money spare and start grinding and doing dungeons at lvl 36... i did SM 20 times from lvl 36-30 and when i got mount i had 60g spare. Dont worry about finance before you need to. Or you wont be able to kill the creeps because of how pathetic your weapons and armor are

36-40 i meant guys... 36-40 lol. Get a lvl 40-50 paladin and lvl 40-50 hunter mage or rogue to help you and you can make 20g in 2 hours from that dungeon!!

Don't take mining/herbalism..

You should take skinning/mining or skinning/herbalism because you have to have a track skill on for mining and herbalism.

Even easier - Mine around Loch Modan and pick up every single vien there...I collected over 100 Copper Ore within an hour...sell that all on auction house make over 1g.

yeah....Tarael, 43 mage on Whisperwind...havent bought anything off the AH yet...still poor, but i'd be even poorer if i had... farming for money for mount....advice anyone?

i say chars from 1-20/25 shouldnt use AH for anything other than selling the thing they dont want but is profitable to sell to others and sometimes if nessecsary sell ur usless or just there 2 make u look good (like shirts) or other stuff like that im a lvl 26 undead lock on kil'jaeden (Katalyst if u wanna talk or play) and i have about 300g from doing this stuff i get lots of green and blue items from running instances so i sell them or is BoP (BoA) i disenchant it and then sell that also helpful when u find cloths (linen wool silk mageweave mooncloth and anything else ive forgotten) and selling leather is also good cuz some tailors need leather so boots and other things sometimes and they buy for alot some times also open all clams for pearls and kill spiders for there silk cuz the silk runs for alot for just a few (1-4 sells for about 75s-1g*for 1* to 3.50g or 4g*for 4*) i do this alot its perfect also smithers make rods (silver and up) enchanters need them badly to make high lvl enchants make alot then sell them 50s-1g for 1 that makes good $$ enchanters also needs shadowgems for some enchants they sell about 15-20s each and since im a lcok my felstedd at 40 wont cost me a thing but at 60 i have 2 pay about 900g for it (all the materials and stuff) so its good to save up i tho have bout just a few things off the AH that i couldnt live with out i mean now with my cash i do evry so often buy enchanting and tailoring supplies im now 143 tailoring and 110 enchanting (also is good to sell like glow enchants cuz ppl want it just to make there weps look cooler i usually sell me glow enchants for 35s each and i can sell about 100 of these in an hr in a main city 30 out in the other area's just think about it 100 at 35s each in 1 hr thats like 35g so its all good and mages sell food water and ports thats always good offer to b a quest guide ppl will pay alot for sum1 2 help thru a quest that they prolly couldnt do on there own and cant find ne1 to help tem that hasnt alrdy done the quest or offer ur protective services (for lvls 30+) to the lower lvls thru tough/and or contested territory that always good hmm lol i just thought of something i should make this into a guide ya kno then i could get a free membership (the premium one) that would b soo friggin sweet lol well thats all i can tyhink of atm so if i remember more ill post later yall peace
