Rogue Combos : World of Warcraft General Discussions

What are some good stratagies for a rogue, like combos for gettting combo points? To build a chain of combo points... Anyone?

I'm only level 14 so I can't say I've got a lot of experience in this matter, that said...

I generally stun the target with Gouge, quickly run around it and Backstab it, build up combo points with Sinister Strike until it is close to death and finish it off with Eviscerate.

Backstab gives a combo point, as does Sinister Strike. Eviscerate uses these points to finish off the target.

This really depends on how you play. If you are playing a backstab rouge you would probably open with Ambush then sinister strike for point to build up to Eviserate. You could also use gouge to stun then backstab.

I play a Combat rogue so the way I open is with Cheap shot this will stun the target for like 4 seconds. Depending on if it will be a tough fight or not determines where I go next. If it will be while the target is stunned from CS i use Sinister Strike to build combat points (usually 4 by the time the stun wears off) next will be kidney shot to stun the target anywhere from 5 to 6 seconds. Build combat points for a finish with Eviserate. IF is is an easy fight i don't use KS but use a 5 point Evis. Now if I get adds I make sure I have 3-5 combat points hit Blade Fury then Slice and dice to get a nice 40% boost in attack speed.

Most Definatley, cheap shot then kidney shot is the win, i also find that in hard battles, Cheap Shot + Kidney shot + Blade Flurry and Evasion will max out damage dealt and reduce damage taken.

Spamming Sinister Strike is really annoying but will prolly buid up you combo points fast, in order to help you out, post your level and your talent specs

I've found that in solo PVE if you have kidney shot ability, than SS works a lot better than gouge/ backstab because you can gain combo points much quicker and no need for setup. Here is what i usually use when PVE at lvl 31. Cheap shot, BS , SS, SS, KS, BS, SS, SS, SS, evis...

Well, i'm lvl 60 undead rogue and using this kind of combat stratigy, first i starta with Cheapshot, ss, ss CB then i got 5 cmobopoints and 100% crit change.. EVI 2000 damage (on cloth) then Vanish and i'll make a cheapshot and replay the same again... ss ss, Preparation, CB , evi Bang... 2000 damage... sometimes then u fight u fight Mages they will make frost nova and stuff like that.. If they do , just use vanish. and if they do it again use Preparation and vanish again. They can only make 2 frostnova then the duell is yours ;D Good luck!

combat build

open with CS then hit ss three times then evis or ks, depending on how close to death the mob is. if i get adds ill do the slice and dice + blade fury thing and add in evasion if im low on health, and sometimes adrenaline if im in a hurry

YEah depeneding on level...lets say 60 ehre so you can have full build with iniative and Seal fate and Relentless Strikes IMP Ambush and coldblood and such.
So With this Build you need to kill 1 guy first that yields exp to get Relentless going and after that its pretty simple. With Relentless and IMP Abmush and Iniative and Seal fate youll be getting 3combo points with 1 strike and you can backstab the instant after so thats 4 combo points now. Hit them wait for energy regen then hit em with a gouge. You have 5 points its your battle now coldblood EVIS or a Kidney shot/Rupture. You dont even need to to CB EVIS but it just ensures the win.

Best way ive found was using the 21/8/22 build purdy sure all rogues know of but you get initiative 5/5. This is where the fun begins had a 60 rogue in nightslayer do this to my alt 50. Anyway you open up cheapshot if u have initiative from the sub tree youll get 3 combopoints. Next sinister strike and a gouge. Turn on evasion incase your fighting other rogues so they dont ruin your fun. Then turn on coldblooded. 5 combopoints quick and leave out with a bang. My alt rogue stood no chance couldnt move couldnt do sh3t. This is basically a instant cp setup you dont have to really wait for much energy to tick. Tested it myself works very nicely agianst rogues u catch in stealth as well as basically anyone with low armor. To calculate the moves to perfection get stunwatch and energywatch from www.curse-gaming.com. I wouldnt recommend doing this to a warrior at full hp. Wasting a cb early in the fight will result in your loss incase the warrior is good.

when fighting warrior and druids beware their intimidating shouts it WILL unstealth u...... i think it sucks actually
