there is no other non eploiting way to make money besides selling loot. The more mobs you kill, the more money you make. It's as simple as that.
You can take up 2 secondary tradeskills (skinning is a must, then choose like mining/herbalism). Sell everything you can't use. You will make more money by grinding and not doing quests, but quests give a boost to XP. And once you get to 60, farming is much easier since your going to make more money off higher end loot.
Grinding may actually be faster then questing, but its oh so much more boring.

You don't need to grind in WoW if you are smart.
A. There is a LOT of quest areas for different and the same levels.
B. Do quests that require you kill X ammount of blah.
C. Repeat B and all the quests in the area (I.e Darkshore)
D. Move to another area proper for your level. Goto B.
I did all the quests in Westfall or atleast most of em.. Then moved to darkshore and breezed through 90 % of those quests. Character was lvl 20 before I knew it.

With how varied the quests are you're really grinding anyway, just solo with 40% running to turn in quest stuff.

Naw.. You can take a bunch of quests at a time. Just finish em up when you come back to drop loot. I don't know about horde quests but I do it pretty easy with Alliance quests.

Quests pretty much became a chore for me from STV onward, sure you get several at once but you still have to run across half a zone every hour or so.

Lethal, I find it hard to believe you're level 60 and you haven't heard of farming and mobs...or gold for that matter.
Makes me wonder if it was a lame attempt at wit

The best way I've found is to find quests in your level range that involve the critters you are grinding anyway.
Duskwood in the low 20's for example has a bunch of quests involving the spiders and wolves, then moves on to the undead, then to the worgen. These quests pay out a ton of experience and follow the natural progression of leveling, and most can be completed in the time it takes you to fill your bags up with loot to vendor, turn in the quests get the next and head right back into the grind.
Some zones I find fun, but they make questing difficult like around Loch Modan. The quests involve traveling too far at every step and grinding there is better than doing the quests.
When I grind, I like to grind on low blue and green mobs. You can kill two in the time it takes you to kill one even con for about 25% better experience than the single. If you can find low green elite mobs though, the experience can be even better if you can take them out fast and avoid the healers.
If you find yourself stuck at a certain point where the previous zone is too easy and greying out and the next is too hard, go to the other continent and find something to hunt. A good example is Duskwood in the late 20's and early 30's. There isn't enough high 20's to support the number of people in the zone. Move over to another zone to grind out till the low 30's like Wetlands, Hillbrad Foothills or even head over to Ashenvale and Stonetalon Mountains.
Lastly, grouping is probably the fastest way to level. Even a single partner will increase your kill speed immeasurably. Grouping with my sister is just unruly...I send in my pet(hunter) she nukes once and I get in a swing or a barrage of gunshots and it's dead. We don't stop running from kill to kill...she never has to heal on singles and never has to spam nukes. I tend to run lower in mana than she does with special moves, but I can just ping away on autoshoot till I'm back up anyway.
Well, that's how I've been playing anyway. Might work for some, for others it may not.

In my experience doing quests is the fastest way to level. I haven't found any tricks yet. Usually what I will do is goto a town that is roughly my level or a little lower and accept every quest the NPC's hand out. I will then plan out my trip based on which quests to do that will be near other quests I have to do. This way I have the least amount of travel between quests.
Or if you're lucky get a high level friend to help you out and have him group with you and complete the kill quests and yo tag alone picking up what ever drops
