when the accounts are made they come on a 0-7 scale
0 - Regular Player
1 - Councellor
2 - Seer
3 - not sure
4 - GM
5 - Designer GM
6 - Developer GM
7 - God
anyways...when an account is made for wow its rating is 0 and they do not have the power to promote. only 4+ can do that.
The only way this would work is if you were on a private server in which the person you boot is the person that decides if the server is up and all they have to do to get back in is go on the account creation program, delete your account, then make theirs again
I love how people talk like they know everything lol, BTW this changes in BC.

Just did it, it still works post-tbc. 
(promoted my toons to gm's, not kicked gm cuz shes a sweetheart <3)

this was nerfed a while back, but i remember doing it to a rival of mines guild, he wasent to happy.

you can't kick the guild leader, but they cannot kick you either. You can't /gquit either, you have to promote a new guild leader first. But it still works and is pretty sweet
