But soloing isn't always a good thing to do cause you don't get instace blues or purples when you hit 60 so it takes you longer to be well enough to go to high end instances

Quests are the best way to level up. When you think of it, it makes the most sense. You not only get experiance from the mobs, you also get quest exp, and gear and money. You should use thottbot to find stuff. You could also buy the atlas. When questing NEVER group, unless you absolutely NEED to. Have fun in the game, and dont quit.

Basically quest in arathi highlands and Wetlands if ure lvl. 29. You should really be able to solo mobs at the same lvl (unless healer). If u can't make a new char. Look on www.thottbot.com

Instead of getting a quest you should do the noggenfogger elixir quest from gadgetzan i believe i think you are high enough to do so =)

There are many ways to lvl in WoW, such as questing and grinding. Because the world of so immense though, one can often get lost and not know where to go.
The Looking For Group concept is a simple one, first find out what you want to do, run an instance maybe, or quest with someone because you need help. Then in chat you should just ask Looking For Group ________ (ex: LFG RFC, PST for invite) LFG is the worldwide abbreviation for LookingForGroup obviously. Then you form a party and go on to do your objective. A party can consist of a max of 5 people, where if you want more you need to convert to a raid, which is a max of 40 people. The raid is often used for raiding on citites in world PvP or massing end game dungeons such as MC,ZG, BWL etc.
Leveling is also fairly simple. There are two paths you may take when leveling, you may grind it out or quest it out. Grinding is basically staying in one area suitable for you, and kill one monster at a time until you level. As this seems boring, IT IS. But grinding is the fastest way to level among most classes. If you are a lvl 29 rogue, and you get killed by a 25 monster it does not mean you give up, just means you did something wrong and you can go back and start where you left from, many people die while grinding, and there is nothing wrong with it, just means you have lost some time in experience.
Questing thought is the funner way to lvl i guess, you get to obtain a quest and travel around the world and accomplish the quest, this traveling includes sightseeing, but does not involve as much fun as when you are lvl 40 and get your mount! Your mount is a ride which lets you travel 60% faster than on foot. You cant fight while on the mount and if you enter water you are dismounted.
If you get lost in an area or dont know where to go next, just consult tings like thottbot.com or allakhazam.com and they provide sufficient amount of information to prociede you to your next area. For a lvl 29 your should head on over to 1k Needles, rigth below the barrens and head to shimmering flats, which is the weast part of 1k Needles. From there at about lvl 33,34 you head to stranglethorn vale which is accomplished by taking a boat from Ratchet to booty bay.
For my time, this is the best way i can summarize WoW for you, overall just talk to people for help, consult sites and enjoy our expierience.

Welcome to WoW! I played FFXI for over a year and I was having the same frustrations that you are. Some things that I learned are that while in a party for instances or for taking on more difficult elite quests, your not forced into a job position nearly as hard as in ffxi (ie Stand there and do exactly what you did in the last party you were in). I have found that in this game you have to play differently to fit different situations. You cant just stand there and spam provoke lol. Anyway, I am sure that once you figure it out it wont be as frustrating and you (like everyone i know who came from ffxi) will love this game soo much more.
