Well, im fairly new to WoW, still play FFXI, and i personally
find FFXI allot more "clear" when you're doing something.
Ok i think this is best to be awnsered by a person that knows both
WoW and FFXI.
1: Can you Flag up (aka: Looking for Party) or something that people know
you are interested in an experience points party?
2: Im Lv.29 Rogue and I get owned by a Lv.25 Bandit (or w/e) in Duskwoods,
does this mean one is not capable of solo'ing mobs anymore around this level?
3: "How" do you level at all? I dont get it, FFXI is simple, just put your flag up
with a search comment, wait for some person to invite you, travel to an area
and go kill mobs for exp. I've solo'd my way up to Lv.29 Rogue, and now
I cant find any spots to level at solo. And i dont get this "Looking for Party"
thing at all in WoW, just very unclear.
Now, ive tried to find Guides on multiple websites, including TU.
But only found "Horde" (lol and still didnt even know what ppl were talking about)
Couldnt find any clear leveling Guide, to learn "how" to level, and what
you must do to gain exp, or what ever.
I've even asked my guild 100 times, and these blind people dont even assist me.
Lol, this game is already driving me crazy.
Anyways, if anyone would be cool to awnser these questions above
and possibly could give me some advice, cause im not making any
progress currently lol. Being EU and playing FFXI is kinda anoying
as we're on JP times basicly, and LS events start at midnight and WoW
is also EU based meaning events could take place earlier, which is nice.
Please do not awnser my questions so simple as:
"Go do quests" yeah, what quests, i aint done a quest between Lv.1 and Lv.29.
Also, ive gotten a few links to some sort of Allakhazam websites, with info
but i couldnt find any newbie guide on how to progress any further, or
how specific things work, and what is worthwhile or not.
Aight, so could anyone please give me some "detailed" advise on what
to do now that im a Rogue 29 trying to get Lv.60 eventually?
Party? Quest? Instance? I heard stuff like that, but HOW does it work?
And how did you deal with it? Sorry, im just a little frustrated when i dont
understand stuff that apparently shouldnt be too hard to know, though
ive tried to find info myself but eventually got tired of searching for hours.
-Thanks

quest quest and quest some more really is a "fun"(boring) way to get xp to level. just go to random towns and get whatever quest you can and do them. some are easy to solo while others arent. ive been soloing almost all my quests so far, while it may take longer to do them it is sooo much more fun

But is that basicly the smartest way to level? Or basicly the fastest way?
Sorry im seriously "not" familiar with all these damn area's lol.
I could possibly just clear out all quests at WestFall or
DuskWoods or w/e. But i recently got owned by some
Bandit/Rogue or w/e it was that was 4 level's below my
level lol.
Anyways, I guess i'll just have a look around if i could
find some quests to do. Do you have any suggestions
where to go look for them (What zone i mean?)
Cause most zones have multiple towns.
And do you know of a website other than:
Thottbot.com / allakhazam / worldofwar.net
that can provide some good information about quests
or whatever might be usefull?
Thanks.

The fastest way to level is by doing quests. Pick up as many as you can for one zone and just get to it killing things and completing quests. All the zones go by level. Duskwood is a good place to try, although you may want to go to the wetlands as well to level up.
If you're on a PVP server (Player vs. Player), the opposing faction can kill you. Allakhazam and Thottbot are you friend, use them wisely. Tault is a good site too You may also want to try curse-gaming.com.

i have played both games so i know alot about both, anyways the answers to your first two questions are:
No, you cannot flag up like in FFXI.
and you should always be able to solo mobs, you just have look for a new area with mobs ur lvl.
the last question has already been answered

Thanks allot. That really cleared up a allot of things!
Yeah, ive been going down to that Graveyard at Dusk Woods for some good 300-350 exp per kill with a little
downtime after every 2-3 kills. But this is basicly because
my exp bard was Blue, as i logged out and came back
after about 2-3 months lol. So it probably cause of that
stayed up for 2 levels hehe.
Which site do you guys prefer to use for looking up
where you can find all the quests in a specific zone?
I was thinking of checking out some Duskwood Quests
personally, while im leveling there anyways.
Would Allakhazam or Thotbott be best to use for
finding where the NPC's that give the quests are at,
and where you gotta kill the mobs for the quest etc?
Thanks again. Good help ^^

I think grinding is the fastest way to lvl. You need to find a nice spot where mobs spawn back fast and are around you lvl at the time and just kill all of them in a big circle back and forth. i have got 2 character to lvl 42 in about a month from grinding.

Actually grinding is sort of slower. If you know where the quests are they're alot faster than grinding. For the fastest time leveled 1-60 the guy did quests all the way.

Yeah thats true but if you dont know where the quest are it could take you hours to find where things are.
