Blizzcon 2010 Ticket Giveaway From WoW Insider

WOW Insider is giving away tickets for this years blizzcon to basically every wow fan on the planet’s dream.  Its pretty easy.  All you need to do is going to the wow insider websit eand comment on the ticket giving away.  They will then on wed oct 13th pick one luck winner to go.  You must be a legal resident and 18 years of age.  Also you are responsible for all traveling and lodging for the event.  You must pick up the ticket in person as well in anaheim at the start of blizzon 2010.  Although youll need a way to get ther eand place to stay you can muster that all since you are going to BLIZZCON

Lineage 2 Server Maintenance – 10 – 11

All lineage 2 servers will be going down on tuesday oct 12 at 8am pst.  They will be down for around 2 hours while they update is applied.  You can read about the catch a tiger event to see whats going to be happening.  Also all account services will be working except server transfers during this update.

SC2 Single Player Bannings Going On Now

Today the ban hammer has once again attacked players, but this time it wasnt even for cheating online.  Players that used 3rd party cheats in order to gain an advantage for single player in starcraft 2 where banned as well.  The players that asked why they where banned where told by blizzard this is because they alter the online part of the game by acquiring trophys and other things illegally.  There is a big public outcry going on about this as we speak.

Do you think this is legit?  Does blizzard have the right to do that for single player games?  What do you think overall and how do you think blizzard should handle single player cheaters that they feel will affect the online portions of the game.

SC2 Heart of the Swarm Release Date June 2012

Many players including myself thought the newest sc2 expansions would be released about one year apart.  Well thats not the cast at all.  Blizzard today announced that the next release will be around 18 months from now.  This is saddening news to players that want to see all the great updates coming out.  This means that the game’s next expansion will be released about 2 years from the first release date of the game.  So june 2012 is looking to be the  date for starcraft’s heart of the swarm’s official release date.

Arcanum Vasty Deep Updates Revealed

Game update 58 will be released on the Tuesday October 12 for both eq2 and eq2x.  The major changes will be a ton of new dungeons from sentinel’s fate.  On top of that more monsters will be released and new areas of the game will be explored.   The newest update gives a much needed bump for all the everquest 2 content out there.

The newest captions log is out now.  They give you a great new insight to new features and an in depth response to comments this is by executive producer daniel stahl.  The big question is will sto even make it that long with all the players jumping ship and failed patches they have done in the past.  Well heres hoping these updates make it in and the game is improved upon.

World of Warcraft Reaches 12 million players Active Subscribers

Today blizzard official announced that they have now over 12 million active subscribers.  Most of this is due to china now allowing them to once again sell world of warcraft and allowing them to use the new expansions that have been out in the USA for over a year now.  Also the numbers they say are active subscribers and not just total members that have joined like many people have believed.

StarCraft 2 v1.1 Gives Austrailian/New Zealand Players Access To US Servers

The starcraft 2 patch 1.1 just announced that this Wednesday they will give players from Australian the ability to play on the north American servers.  Originally players from Austrian and new zealand where forced to play on the south east asian servers which didnt go to well due to the language barriers many players faced.  Blizzard has decided to give players the ability to switch to the north american realm now.  Read more in the link below.

The topic says it all.  The us servers on sept 15th 2010  at 7am will go down for a hotfix.  The hotfix will last for about one hour while they are updated.

StarCraft 2 Update 1.1 Coming Sept 21st

Starcraft will be getting a big update this tuesday as they release version 1.1.  The patch hasnt had all its major changes announced but we can be sure there will be balancing, anti cheat detection, and a fix of a slew of current bugs in the game that have not been taken care of.

Starcraft 2 Tweaks To Run The Game Faster

Starcraft 2 is a pretty big resource hog when it comes to playing the game.  A Normal game might be fine but when you have tons of units on the screen your game can slow down so much its barely playable.  Here are some major tweaks to help sc2 run faster you you.  Its a in depth guide that shows you some major tweaks to help fix your game with some registry and some not.  Be sure to save everything before you do this because if you do things incorrectly you may be forced to reinstall the entire game.

Worgen Mounts Or Lack There Of Announcement

It has just been annoucned the worgen class will not have thier own mounts but they will hav ea mount racial spell instead.  The spell it called running wild and it makes the worgen drop to all fours so it can run as fast as a wild animal as the spells decription says.
Basically the worgens will be just like any other class with a mount.  This will help wow speed up time in not needed a major mount for the class.  Many fans of the game agree with this change as they felt the worgens who are wolves riding on another wolf seemed pretty stupid in terms of feasibility.  Well apparently blizzard listened some when they did this major change.
We dont have any pictures just yet of the worgens on all four but you can be rest assured you will see a ton of them soon.  Also wow does not intend to make it like plains running which the taurens had.  They want something more original and fits the style of the worgen class.
